As useful as telehealth consultations have proved over the past few months, the system still suffers some significant shortcomings. As you may already have experienced, there are a fair few situations that can't be adequately handled over the phone. Skin checks, immunisations and ear aches are among the most common examples. In such cases only a face-to-face (or mask-to-mask) consultation allows us to look after you properly.

So we are now seeing patients who need to be seen in person. There are two provisos. In order to create the safest environment possible, we need you to wear a mask. The latest advice is that doing so can prevent up to 70 percent of COVID-19 infections. Second, as before we will not see you if you have a respiratory infection, and that includes the common cold. If you do have symptoms, self-isolate and get a COVID-19 swab test.

In the waiting room we have added eight plastic seats spaced at least 1.5 metres apart. We also provide more such seats outside in our alfresco waiting area.
